Seed Collection for Native Plant Community Restoration Following Invasive Plant Removal

Invasive plant species can have considerable negative impacts on Ontario’s native ecosystems. They have been observed to reduce biodiversity at various scales, impede recreational use of natural landscapes, and be an economic strain on our forestry and agricultural industries. Our research aims to develop protocols for removing invasive plant species and promoting recolonization by desirable native plant species.
